Volunteer opportunities

The Mental Health Association in Passaic County can use your help in several ways. Training and supervision are provided for all volunteers.

 

Community Advocate Volunteer: Help an adult with mental illness feel more integrated into the community by being a mentor and provide assistance in developing social skills, educational skills, vocational and recreational interests. Family Volunteer: Provide support to a family member of an adult with mental illness.  Family members need support and respite from the care giving duties.  Contact Joanne Green (973) 478-4444ext:11 or jgreen@mhapassaic.org  if you are interested in volunteering for Intensive Family Support Services

 

Fundraising Assistant: Help with special events   such as our annual Vision and Achievement Awards Dinner held each June or with our Fall Bowlathon or other development projects. Interested contact Joanne Green (973)478-4444 x 11 or email  JGreen @mhapassaic.org

 

Legislative Network Volunteer: Consumers of mental health services, family members and other concerned citizens encourage informed public decision through writing emails, letters, public testimony and meetings with county, state and federal officials.  Interested?
